Meet the Moodie-Mills’
Aisha & Danielle Moodie-Mills are living their lives authentically, in color, and out loud in a city that is known for grey suits and clutched pearls. The pair, are rising stars in Washington where they labor together in their passions and politics. They co-host, Politini, a politics and pop culture radio show on blis.fm, and pen the blog Living, Loving, and Laboring OUT Loud, or threeLOL.
Married in 2010, they’ve made numerous headlines as advocates that helped bring marriage equality to the nation’s capital, and their wedding was the first lesbian wedding featured by Essence. The dynamic duo also launched FIRE (Fighting Injustice to Reach Equality), a policy initiative at the Center for American Progress, which works to eliminate the social, economic, and health disparities experienced by LGBT people of color.
