When Nicki Minaj began tweeting about the dismissal of black female artists in the music industry she was taking on a system that continues to award appropriation and dismiss black female contributions to culture. Sometimes people are too busy tweeting than listening-in walk Taylor Swift, who has since apologized for her comments, but the highlight remains-white feminism never makes room for intersectionality.
