We are so saddened to have lost a very dear friend this week. David Baldwin Barnes was way too young, and too fabulous, to have been taken from us. But clearly God had a bigger plan. I wonder if it’s as big as the plans David had for himself;-). Anyone that knew him knew that he lived an “OUTSTANDING” life and inspired us all to do the same.
We love you and miss you “David Baldwin Barnes”. May you RIP and continue to watch over us. You are indeed our angel.
Please join us in celebrating the life and legacy of David by contributing to his Memorial Fund. He died tragically in an auto incident in Ghana, where he lived and worked as a budding social entrepreneur. There are exorbitant costs associated with bringing David back from Ghana and his burial here at home. We’d like to help his family as much as we can with total costs. Our goal is to raise $25,000. Every dollar helps. Please DONATE TODAY.
From the Family:
David Baldwin Barnes, the most interesting man in the world.
On the evening of February 18, 2013 in Accra, Ghana, David was in a car accident while riding his motorcycle home after business meetings and time with friends. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but did not survive his injuries.
David lived the meaning of his name: Beloved. So many of us loved him and feel the ache of this loss. As we grieve together, we want to express our deepest gratitude for all of your outpouring of love and support for his family and friends.
David’s family created a memorial Facebook page (named David Baldwin Barnes-Memorial) that they will use to notify everyone of arrangements and services. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made payable to Baldwin Barnes (David’s father) and can be sent to his PayPal account here.
